Airport Electrician ($5,000 Signing Bonus)

Provides technical maintenance services to Airport facilities by installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical, mechanical, electronic parking control equipment and inline baggage conveyor equipment. Requires completion of a four-year electrical apprenticeship program covering construction, control, safety and high voltage components and procedures; a minimum of two years experience as a journeyman maintenance electrician. Documented additional journeyman-level job experience may be substituted for formal apprenticeship program. Requires a minimum of one year experience in electrical, mechanical and electronic parking control equipment and a minimum of one year experience in the maintenance of HVAC equipment and systems; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. Ability to pass and maintain a Transportations Security Administration background check; Obtain a Valid Iowa Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) with appropriate endorsements; electrical certification; refrigeration certification; Available for recall during non-duty hours for emergencies and other required duties. Performs related work as required. Starting Salary: $56,264.00 – $69,472.00 DOE.
