“This is the first time in history we have experienced this level of sustained growth,” said Don Swanson, Director of Finance and the acting Airport Director. “The longest stretch that we have found in our history was in 2007 with 7 straight record months.”

The growth is happening with an increase in the size of aircraft at The Eastern Iowa Airport coupled with increased passenger traffic. While each airline has experienced year-over-year growth in enplanements, the most significant increases by airline in October happened with Allegiant Air with a 36.7 percent year-over-year increase in enplaned passengers and Delta Airlines with a 12.4 percent year-over-year increase in enplaned passengers.
